2. Scope and definitions

These terms govern offers and sales through this website, by email, telephone or other distance communication. The range mainly comprises Delta Electronics industrial automation equipment. A consumer is a natural person acting outside a business or profession. A business buyer purchases in connection with business activities; consumer provisions do not apply to that relationship unless the law says otherwise.

3. The website and contract formation

This website is a catalogue with a non-binding price enquiry function. Adding products or sending an enquiry does not create an order with an obligation to pay. The buyer may change the items or quantities before sending. The seller prepares an individual quotation subject to availability. Before a consumer contract is concluded, the seller specifies the exact products, quantities, final price including VAT, shipping and other charges, payment method and expected delivery period. A purchase contract arises only on acceptance of the quotation in the stated manner and confirmation by the seller, or another clearly agreed method. For a business buyer it may also arise when the seller accepts a binding order. Confirmation and relevant terms are sent on a durable medium, normally by email.

4. Products and technical information

The exact catalogue designation identifies the product. The manufacturer’s documentation for the relevant model governs technical specifications. A photograph of a product series may show a common appearance while individual power or I/O variants differ. Products intended for professional installation must be installed by suitably qualified persons in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, safety rules, electrical specifications, EMC and cooling requirements.

5. Prices

Where a price is displayed, both the net price and the final price including 23% Slovak VAT are shown. Shipping is excluded unless explicitly stated otherwise and is determined for the shipment. “Price on request” means no product price is specified in advance. Before concluding a consumer contract, the seller provides the final price including VAT and all known costs. The site does not use automated individual pricing or profiling to set a consumer’s price.

6. Payment

Payment is currently made mainly by bank transfer under a pro forma invoice, invoice or instructions in the quotation. Another method applies only if expressly agreed. The website has no payment gateway and does not collect payment-card details.

7. Delivery

The method and cost of shipping, delivery location and estimated time are specified in the quotation. Goods may be sent by carrier or handed over in person as agreed. For consumers, risk of damage passes on receipt unless the law provides otherwise. Inspection of the shipment on receipt is recommended; failure to inspect does not by itself remove statutory defect rights.

8. Consumer withdrawal

For a distance contract, consumers generally have 14 days from receipt of goods to withdraw without giving a reason. The procedure appears on the withdrawal page. The consumer bears direct return costs unless the seller has expressly agreed to bear them. Payments are refunded within the statutory period; for goods, the seller may withhold the refund until receiving the goods or proof of dispatch, whichever comes first. Statutory exceptions include goods genuinely made to individual specifications or clearly customised. A standard catalogue item ordered from a supplier because it was out of stock does not automatically become customised. Business buyers have no statutory 14-day withdrawal right unless expressly agreed otherwise.

9. Liability for defects and complaints

For consumer sales, the seller is liable for defects present on delivery that become apparent within two years. Following the first repair, the liability period is extended by 12 months under the current law; this extension applies once. Subject to statutory conditions, the consumer may seek repair, replacement, a proportionate price reduction or withdrawal. A defect should be reported within two months of discovery and within the statutory liability period. The seller gives written confirmation and a remedy period, normally no more than 30 days unless an objective reason outside the seller’s control justifies longer. See the complaints procedure.

10. Business purchases

Where the buyer provides a business registration number or purchases for business purposes, the relevant relationship is governed by the Slovak Commercial Code and the specific quotation. Warranty and service conditions may follow the manufacturer or distributor and differ from statutory consumer defect rights.

11. Alternative dispute resolution

A consumer may request a remedy from the seller. If the request is rejected or no answer is received within 30 days, the consumer may contact a competent alternative dispute resolution body, in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection. See the alternative dispute resolution page.

12. Personal data

Processing is described in the privacy policy. Information needed to handle an enquiry or contract is required for pre-contractual steps and performance, not for marketing consent.

13. Final provisions

Slovak law applies to consumer relationships while respecting mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. An invalid provision does not invalidate the remaining terms. Changes apply to future contracts; a concluded contract is governed by the version provided at its conclusion unless the parties agree otherwise.
